建築設計者や建築技術者の阪神．淡路大震災時におけるコンピュータ．情報ネットワークの使用状況及びその後の使用状況について、アンケート調査を1995年12月に行い、また1997年4月にはさらにその後の推移を知るために、2度目の調査を行ったところ、それらは確実に普及しつつあることが分かった。しかし震災時、アンケート実施当時の利用状況、今後の災害時の利用の見込みについても、受信を中心とした利用方法が大半を占めており、情報ネットワークの持つインタラクティブな特長を生かした利用は十分にはされていないということが分かった。また、他のメディアの代替、延長としての利用の割合が多く、建築分野ならではの利用も十分にされているとは言えず、それらの常日頃からの建築分野への浸透が今後の課題である。

The questionnaires distributed to 1145 architects and engineers in Hanshin-area were carried out in December, 1995 and in April, 1997, asking how they used these modern information techniques and what they think about them. Comparing the results of the second questionnaire with those of the first questionnaire, the numbers of computer users and internet or personal computer telecommunication users increased. And the concerns for them and their networks are getting greater. But today, they don't use the network enough as architects yet, but as individuals, generally. The network has the real activities and large future possibilities. If the network is used by more architects for daily work and they are accustomed to the network, it can serve not only for daily convenience but also as bottom-up, distributed, and autonomous systems in the fields of architecture, cities and disaster prevention.
