兵庫県南部地震における芦屋市の水道管被害について，配水管と給水管の被害データを収集し，GIS を用いてデータベース化するとともに，推定地震動と比較して管種ごとの被害推定式を構築した．ここで，地震動強さは建物被害データより推定したもの用い，被害推定式は指数関数型と対数正規分布型の2種類を提案した．また，GIS を用いて水道管被害と他の都市施設被害との関係を定性的に把握し，その結果，建物被害と給水管被害との間，および道路被害と配水管被害との間には高い相関性があることが認められた．

Earthquake damage of water supply pipes in Ashiya City due to the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu Earthquake was investigated using inventory and damage data. Comparing the water pipe damage data and the ground motion distribution estimated from building damage data, fragility curves for water distribution and service pipes were constructed. Using GIS, the water pipe damage was further compared with the damage of the other urban facilities. Correlation between the building damage and service pipe damage was observed as well as the correlation between distribution pipe damage and road damage.
