The horizontal acceleration responses of nonstructural system mounted on the structural frame during earthquakes are observed through some experimental works using a shaking table instrument. The nonstructural systems mounted on two conditions of main structures, respectively fixed base and isolated structures, are examined using several earthquake motions. The acceleration responses of the nonstructural systems, the amplification factor relative to the input ground accelerations and the horizontal force coefficients are observed. Comparison between the experimental results and the design codes are also conducted.
