ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF STUDY ON EFFECTIVE SEISMIC MOTION OF CAISSON FOUNDATION WITH FLEXURAL AND ROCKING MOTIONS
´˜^i‰pjF This paper deals with the effective seismic motion of caisson foundation embedded in an elastic stratum and vertically supported on the underlying bedrock. The effective seismic motion should be considered as a rigorous input motion to analyze the response of soil-foundation-structure system. For the deep foundation, the flexural motion should be considered as well as the rocking motion. In our study, theoretical analysis of the effective seismic motion was performed by application of three-dimensional wave propagation theory, which consists of rocking and flexural motion.
