ポートアイランドこおける液状化による三つの杭の被害事例に関して，杭の損傷と地盤状況との比較検討および，主要動中の外力条件を想定した応答変位法による解析検討を実施した。その結果，杭の主な損傷の多くは主要動中に生じたことが推測された。また地層が急変する深さ(埋土層下端，液状化層上端，液状化層内の剛性が急変する位置)に破断等の大きな損傷が生じたことがわかった。

To clarify the causes of pile damages of three buildings due to liquefaction at Port Island during the 1995 Hyogoken Nanbu Earthquake, the comparing studies with the detail ground conditions and analytical studies by seismic deformation method simulating load conditions on pile during the main shock were performed. As the results, it was guessed that most of the pile damages had occurred during the main shock. Also, it was clarified that the piles suffered severe damage to the lower and upper boundary of the liquefied reclaimed fill, and the depths where soil rigidity and strength were extremely valid within the fill.
