本研究は，液状化地盤の流動の方向性を決定づける要因を明らかにしようとするものであり，1995年兵庫県南部地震における流動事例を基に統計的に検討を行った．対象とした流動は傾斜地盤や水平地盤で発生するものであり，地表面や液状化層の勾配，また液状化層厚などの地盤条件の空間的分布特性の変化が，流動の方向および量に与える影響を明らかにすることを目的としている．神戸市にある3つの臨海埋立地盤を対象として検討した結果，多くの水平変位が液状化層厚の薄い所から厚い方向へと発生していたことを明らかにした．また，地表面付近において液状化の程度が激しい場合には，わずかな地表面勾配の影響を受けやすく，標高の高い所から低い方向へと流動する可能性があることを示した．

Liquefied ground flow during the 1995 Hyogoken-Nambu earthquake was investigated statistically to clarify the factors which affect the direction and magnitude of liquefied ground flow. Three reclaimed lands, which are located at the southern part of Kobe city, were focused here. As a result, it was clarified that most of liquefied ground flowed from the site of thin liquefied layer to that of thick one. Furthermore, when high degree of liquefaction occurred at the surface layer, it became clear that the liquefied ground flowed toward the lower place under the influence of slight inclination of the ground surface.
