ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF STATISTICAL STUDY OF SPATIAL VARIATION OF RESPONSE SPECTRUM USING FREE FIELD RECORDS OF SMART-1 ARRAY, TAIWAN AND CHIBA ARRAY, JAPAN
´˜^i‰pjF The structural response variation at a site for a common source and path is examined using strong motion records obtained from dense accelerometer arrays at Chiba in Japan and SMART-1 in Lotung, Taiwan. The sites appear to be uniform but the response spectra vary with station separation. An empirical study of the effects of local site conditions, station separation, structural time period, earthquake magnitude, epicentral distance, and focal depth on the variation of response acceleration is made.
