ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF STUDY ON SEISMIC MICROZONING USING DENSELY MICROTREMOR OBSERVATIONS IN ALMERIA CITY, SOUTHERN SPAIN
´˜^i‰pjF Andalucia, Southern Spain, is a region of moderate level of seismicity. In the past, big earthquakes have destroyed cities and the damages were so seriously high. Now, Almeria City has a population of about 400,000 people and this data is increasing quickly. The new urban areas are moving and developing to soft soil condition. Our research group is working to estimate the seismic vulnerability and the microzonig of Almeria City. In this paper we present the results of evaluating geological conditions and also the microtremor measurements carried out in Almeria, these results are the first step of those we want to get from the survey of seismic strong motion observation, the building condition and its dynamic characteristics.
