ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF STUDY ON MICROZOING CONSIDERING IRREGULARITY OF SOIL STRUCTURES -IN CASE OF ZUSHI CITY, JAPAN-
´˜^i‰pjF In June 1994, we installed five accelerometers at different sites in Zushi City, Japan During three years, we have observed about 200 seismic motion records. After analyzing these seismic records using spectrum ratio between rock site and sedimentary site, we recognized that the seismic wave characteristics is very different depend on soil conditions. Then we simulated the strong motion using 1-D and 2-D computer programs. We obtained a much better result in 2-D simulation than 1-D simulation. In this paper, we would like to present the influence of irregular soil structures and also the result of microzonation using amplification factors.
