タイトル（和）：	鹿児島県北西部地震(1997)の被害について
抄録（和）：	1997年3月26日鹿児島県北西部を震源とするマグニチュード6.5の地震が発生した。地震の大きさはマグニチュード6.5と比較的小さな規模であったが、震源が約10kmと浅かったため鹿児島県北西部地方では大きな被害を出す結果となった。小規模の地震でありながら震源に近い地域では地表での最大加速度が700galを越えているところも見られた。さらに復旧工事が本格化した直後の5月13日前回の震源より南方約10kmでマグニチュード6.2の地震が再び発生した。この地震においても同地域で大きな地表面加速度が観測され、再び被害が発生した。本研究ではこれらの地震について数回にわたって行った現地調査を基に道路及び橋梁の被害と地表面における最大加速度分布や最大速度分布との関係等について検討を加えた。

抄録（英）：	Northwest district of Kagoshima prefecture was suffered from earthquake of magnitude 6.5 in March 26, 1997. The severe damages such as land slide and failures of road have occurred in this area. Since the hypocenter is about 10km depth, there are severe damages in the near area of epicenter, which have experienced larger acceleration than 500gal. Moreover, the second earthquake has occurred at May 13 in the same district which is located about 10km south from the earthquake of March. In this study , the relation between the damages on roads and bridges and the maximum accelerations and maximum velocities are examined with K-NET data.
