平成7年1月17日早朝に発生した兵庫県南部地震により、神戸港の港湾施設は岸壁を中心に壊滅的な被害を受けた。被災した岸壁の復旧にあたっては、被災調査の結果を踏まえて、復旧期間中の港湾機能の低下を抑えるための応急復旧工事による暫定供用を図りつつ、現場条件に応じた工法を検討し本格復旧にあたった。本稿は、神戸港港湾施設の復旧の経験を踏まえて、被災したケーソン式岸壁の復旧手順に関し、被災程度の迅速な把握のための調査方法、暫定供用岸壁の選定方法及び適切な復旧工法の選定方法についてとりまとめたものである。

Port facilities in Kobe were heavily damaged by the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake on January 17, 1995. In restoration, quick reconstruction for temporary use was executed in order to minimize port dysfunction. On the other hand, full-scale reconstruction works were executed with suiatable method selected through examination on result of additional survey. On the basis of these experiences, procedure for the reconstruction of damaged caisson type quaywalls was arranged, focusing on speedy survey, temporary use of quaywall and optimal reconstruction method.
