ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF A STUDY ON EARTHQUAKE RISK ASSESSMENT BY ECONOMIC VITALITY EVALUATION FOR THE TOKYO METROPOLITAN AREA
´˜^i‰pjF The Hanshin-Awaji earthquake disaster of 1995 showed us clearly that individual earthquake damage phenomenon in the highly urbanized region may be effected strongly due to the complicated interaction of other damage phenomenon. In this study, individual damage was predicted on the basis of some existing empirical methods, and interaction effects of earthquake damage were evaluated, considering the regional characteristic by the national census, the business statistics and so on. The seismic risk analysis for the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Hanshin bay region was proposed on the concept of Economic Vitality evaluation.
