ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF A PROPOSAL AND A TRIAL OF THE SEISMIC DESIGN BASED ON TOTAL COST (GRAVITY TYPE QUAY WALL CASE)
´˜^i‰pjF A trial of the seismic design based on expected total cost for gravity type quay wall was conducted. First of all, the concept of current seismic design practice, performance-based design concept and reliability-based design concepts are reviewed from the viewpoints of expected total cost. Since these design concepts are based on acceptable seismic loss assumption, a trial of the seismic design using total cost was conducted. The results imply the possibility that the optimum design parameters can be different for with and without acceptable loss assumption.
