ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF LIFE CYCLE SEISMIC ECONOMIC LOSS OF R/C STRUCTURES
´˜^i‰pjF This paper investigates what affects the life-cycle economic loss, if the structural damage of R/C buildings due to multiple earthquake records in their life-cycle duration is taken into account. Building structures are modeled as a single-degree-of-freedom system. Non-linear earthquake responses are calculated. To estimate of damage and to correlate damage to repairing cost, simple models are used. Then the expected annual repairing cost is evaluated. It is revealed that the life-cycle economic loss increases for multiple earthquakes comparing to that for the single largest earthquake.
