After Hyogo Ken Nambu (Kobe) Earthquake, national and municipal government have promoted earthquake disaster mitigation or countermeasure for various issues such as stock of water, foods and blankets etc. But, most of municipal government hasn’t taken into consideration in establishing portable toilets. In this research, authors analyzed the toilet demand and the measure in case of an earthquake disaster from a viewpoint of public health. In this paper, authors made the trial calculation of toilet demand based on the damage assumption of a near-field earthquake, which was made in Tokyo in 1997. In addition, the hearing result to a sewage bureau in Tokyo metropolitan was analyzed and the future measure against an earthquake disaster was considered. Furthermore, since the measure will be different with various seasons, a synthetic measure is also made by considering of public health.
