This paper describes a decision-making method to determine priority area for earthquake disaster prevention countermeasures based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The proposed method is characterized as comprehensive evaluation method by combining the evaluation criteria in both natural science and social science. As an example application, a ward in Sendai city was investigated. The countermeasures were discussed in Wakabayashi ward.
