ƒ^ƒCƒgƒ‹i‰pjF DISCRIMINANT ANALYSIS OF STREET BLOCKADES IN NAGATA WARD AT THE 1995 KOBE EARTHQUAKE
ด˜^i‰pjF The 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu Earthquake inflicted big damages to the Hanshin-Awaji area. A lot of streets in Kobe City were blocked by the collapsed wooden houses at that time. Street blockades obstructed the emergency activities such as refuge, rescue, fire-fighting and relief. It must be very important for urban disaster prevention planning to develop a methodology for evaluation of the likelihood of street blockades due to big near field earthquakes. As a basic study for it, this study tried to do the discriminant analysis of street blockades in Nagata Ward based on Mahalanobisf distance. From these analytical results, it was found that the correct discrimination rate was 86% and groadside collapsed house rateh contributed very much to discriminant analysis. The accuracy of this analysis is relatively satisfactory.
