Some existing structures donft meet the new seismic design codes, in which ensuring seismic performance against the level 2 ground motion is written. Also, it is difficult to retrofit all of them with the limited amount of budget. In this paper, the concept of support for decision-making of retrofitting pile-structure is discussed, in the sense of life-cycle cost (LCC) considering seismic risk. As a result of this study, it is shown that it is important to consider the importance level of the structure, the current value of assets(the remaining service life), the improvement of safety marginithe amount of reduction of the damagejby the selected retrofit, for decision-making based on LCC.
