This paper discusses a quick inspection method for earthquake-damaged railway viaduct by applying microtremor measurement and numerical simulation. A new technique to inspect the damage levels of the upper and lower ends of RC column is developed. Based on the numerical simulation, the damage judgment criteria to reflect the change of natural frequency and mode shape of viaduct is created. The characteristics of vibration of damaged viaduct are investigated with microtremor measurement. The damage levels of the upper and lower ends of column are judged by comparing the measured values with the criteria.
