タイトル(英): SUBSTRUCTURE HYBRID TESTS OF STRUCTURES WITH SEISMIC ISOLATOR AND SHEAR PINS FOR FIXATION DURING REGULAR SERVICE
抄録(英): In order to satisfy the dynamic performance requirement during strong earthquakes as well as the serviceability and functionality of container crane structure, the seismic isolator consisting of elastomeric bearings and shear pins that fail in case of strong ground motion input is developed. The validation tests of the isolator mechanism were carried out using the substructure hybrid loading test technique. The crane structure part was treated as the numerical substructure, and the loading test of a scaled model of the isolator was performed with the on-line test system. The soft coupling technique was employed to overcome the difficulty of extremely high stiffness of the test specimen due to the shear pin connection prior to the failure. The natural period shift and the seismic isolation after the shear pin failure were successfully verified.
