タイトル(英): METHOD OF EVALUATING SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF WOODEN FRAMES - LIMIT BEARING CAPACITY ANALYSIS IN WIDE RANGE OF DEFORMATION -
抄録(英): A simple method to evaluate the seismic performance of wooden frames is proposed. The conventional design method for wood houses lacks an important idea of the deformation performance, especially for traditional wood houses. The proposed method enables us to trace the bearing capacity-deformation relationships of wooden frame in wide range of deformation and easily to estimate the maximum displacement response by using seismic response spectra. The proposed method is applied easily to the enhancement design of old wooden houses by vibration control devices as well as the seismic design of new houses. Here, the bearing capacity-deformation relationships are provided by the shaking table tests of unit frames installed various bearing elements.
