タイトル(英): Ground disaster of Nishinomiya High School due to the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake −The analysis of the artificial ground through the GPR survey −
抄録(英): The purpose for this study is to determine the depth of soft ground at Nishinomiya municipal high school. One of the reason why the school building was destroyed is the slide of the artificial ground on the Osaka Group. This is because of the liquefaction of the ground. So we investigate the surface of the playground by using the ground penetrating radar (GPR). According to the results of the GPR image analysis, the groundwater composed of soft ground about 5m below the surface. This means that the liquefaction of the ground 5m below the surface is caused when the earthquake occurred. Then the GPR survey helps us the verification of the depth of the ground where is easily reformed.
