タイトル(英): SHAKING TABLE MODEL TESTS ON REDUCTION FLOATING OF UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES UPON LIQUEFACTION BY MEANS OF EMBEDDED WALLS
抄録(英): Shaking table model tests were conducted to investigate measures to reduce the floating of light underground structures upon liquefaction of subsoil. It was attempted to achieve this goal by making underground walls adjacent to such embedded structures as lifelines, tunnels, and depressed highways. It was supposed therein that lateral displacement of liquefaction towards the bottom of a floating structure should be prevented by embedded walls and eventually the extent of floating would be reduced. The test results show that the mitigative effects are good when the walls were made of densities sand or sheet pile walls with drainage functions.
