抄録(英): The building behavior under earthquake is affected by not only the characteristics of buildings, but also the characteristics of ground. This is soil-sturacture interaction(SSI). Many studies of SSI were carried on the elastic ground. This paper describes the earthquake response analysis with consideration with material and geometical nonlinearity ground. In thd analysis, Coulomb damper sysytem is assumed for rocking motion with consideration of stepping and sinking of buildings. As a result, phenomena of yielding, stepping, and sinking of buildings is synthesized.
