タイトル(英): UNDRAINED STRENGTH CHARACTERISTICS OF MASADO WITH DIFFERENT UNIFORMITY COEFFICIENT
抄録(英): A series of undrained cyclic triaxial tests are performed in this study on sand-gravel materials made from Masado with different particle gradation. Comparing the liquefaction strength of Masado with that of normal alluvial sand-gravel materials, it is found that the liquefaction strength of Masado is clearly smaller than alluvial sand-gravel materials having the same relative density and particle gradation. The post-liquefaction undrained strength, also measured after each liquefaction test, is smaller for Masado than that for normal gravel having the same relative density. The particle breakage seems to influence on liquefaction strength and post-liquefaction undrained strength of Masado, which is weaker in particle hardness due to weathering.
