In order to study the effects of uncertainty of input direction of ground motion for SDOF system, two-dimensional acceleration response spectrum (TRSA) was compared with single-dimensional acceleration response spectrum (SRSA) considering the change of input directions for 5 ground motion records and estimation method of TRSA using SRSA was examined. The results showed that TRSA could compute maximum response acceleration without changing input direction. It was also found that TRSA could be estimated using SRSA for two perpendicular components more accurate than using SRSA for one component.
