タイトル(英): EFFECTS OF DIFFERENCES IN UNDERGROUND STRUCTURAL MODELS ON SYNTHETIC GROUND MOTION DURING THE 1923 KANTO EARTHQUAKE
抄録(英): In this study 3D grid models for subsurface structure in Kanto plain were constructed for strong motion simulation from geological data by Suzuki (1999) and microtremor array measurement data by Yamada and Yamanaka (2001). We tested the performance of the 3D structure models on the simulation of long-period ground velocities during the 1923 Kanto earthquake using a 3D finite difference numerical technique. The synthetic velocities for the two models are compared. The differences are small at sites in the focal region, because the source effects are dominant. However, they are large at sites out of the focal region due to site effects.
