DIFFERENCE OF GROUND MOTION AMPLIFICATION DUE TO BASIN EDGE CONFIGURATION
|
´˜^i‰pjF |
There exist several basin-edge structures beneath urbanized cities in Japan, which is crucial to the ground motion amplification as can be seen during the 1995 Kobe earthquake. This study analytically investigates amplification characteristics of the ground motions for various types of basin-edge structures. The amplification is the largest in the basin-edge structure where the fault inversely inclined into the bedrock in the deep part.
