タイトル(英): EFFECT OF MATERIAL DAMPING MODEL FOR EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE ANALYSES USING FEM AND EXPLICIT DIRECT INTEGRATION METHOD
抄録(英): It is recognized that the irregularity of deep soil structure influence largely on the surface earthquake response. The adequate 3-dimentional dynamic analytical method is required, in order to evaluate the seismic risk for the coming large earthquake. This study investigates the type of damping model used for the finite element method and explicit time integration method. The response characteristics and computational efficiency are investigated about 4 different types of damping, Voigt damping, Maxwell damping, Rayleigh damping and attenuation factor.
