タイトル(英): Flow of seismic wave energy in surface ground
抄録(英): Acceleration and velocity are not directly related to geotechnical or structural failure during destructive earthquake. Instead, seismic wave energy is focused in this research as more appropriate index for seismic failure evaluation. Based on the multi-reflection theory of SH-wave, the energy flow in a surface layer is analyzed by utilizing vertical array seismic records for actual ground and also for idealized layed soil models. The analysis reveals that the seismic wave energy at the ground surface decreases with increasing number of sub-divided soil layers with different s-wave velocities, even if the input seismic energy and the dominant frequency of the ground are the same.
