A STUDY ON AMPLIFICATION HARACTERISTICS OF GROUND MOTIONS BASED ON SEISMIC OBSERVATION IN KYOTO BASIN
|
´˜^i‰pjF |
It is very important to grasp amplification characteristics of ground-motions for the estimation of building damage during severe earthquakes. The DPRI and Kyoto city municipal have developed seismic observation network after the Hyogo-ken Nanbu, Kobe, earthquake in 1995. In addition, Kyoto city municipal has undertaken the detail investigation of the deep soil structure in Kyoto basin from 1998. This paper studies the amplification haracteristics of ground motions in the Kyoto based on the observed records, numerical analyses using deep soil information and house damage during the Kobe earthquake.
