乱したシラスの土質特性について

抄録（和）：
志布志石油備蓄基地のタンク基礎設計においては､埋立前に､埋立材料である乱したシラスの土質特性を調べる必要があった｡このために､各種粒度調整した乱したシラスを用意し､一連の室内土質試験を実施した｡結果として､乱したシラスは細粒分が多くとも､圧縮性は小さく､圧密係数は大きい｡液状化抵抗は､標準砂と同程度かそれ以上を示す｡ことがわかった｡以上の結果をもとに､タンク基礎の設計を進めた｡

The Shibushi national petroleum storage base is reclaimed using material dredged from secondary Shirasu.A series of laboratory soil tests were carrried out to determine the mechanical features of several different mixes of fine and coarse grains.According to these results,although the fine content ratio of the reclamation Shirasu is high;(1)It dose not contain clay minerals relevant to settlement.(2)Compressibility is small and coefficient of consolidation is large.(3)Liquefaction potential is about the same as normal sand.Taking these situations into account,we proceeded with the designing of the tank foundations.
