For upgrading serviceability of an eyisting lifeline network after an earthquake we have developed a program by which we can distinguish the appropriate components in the network to be strengthened.This program offers an interactive capability to search critical components.To check the applicability of the developed algorithm we considered a gas supply network composed of 388 nodes and 392 links.Calculation of the seismic reliability of an example network and sequence of component′s improvements show that this new techniqu can be used with large networks.
