In order to evaluate the grouting effect around the pressure tunnel, borehole loading tests and crosshole seismic measurements were carried out before and after the grouting. The changes of the mechanical properties of the rock mass were investigated. In the result, it was observed that deformation coefficient and seismic velocity of the rock mass increased where grout material had been penetrated. It was also clarified that the rock mass was not uniformly improved while the limited portion showed the effect of the grouting.
