This paper attempts to assess the effects of dynamic soil-structure interaction (SSI) on the seismic behavior of a PC cable-stayed bridge placed on a deep soil stratum overlying a rigid bedrock. Intensive parametric analysis is performed to investigate the significance of SSI using finite element method. The applicability of mass-spring model in the assessment of SSI is also discussed. The results of analysis reveal the influence of SSI on the seismic responses of bridge-soil system under various stiffness, foundation depth and mass conditions. Mass-spring model proves to be promising for representing the behavior of bridge-soil system including the effects of SSI. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
