In this paper, we characterized S-wave spectra from strong motion records in terms of the seismic moment, corner frequency, and decay parameter at high frequencies. The source parameters satisfy the scaling law with an average stress drop of about 200 bars. Next we characterized acceleration time histories based on the envelope of its squared time history. Through the characterization study, we found dependence of S-wave spectrum and time history on local geology and earthquake size. Based on these characterization parameters, we simulated strong ground motions by using Boore(1983) method, which showed a good agreement with observed ones. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
