In this paper, a regression equation for the spectral intensity (SI) and house damage ratio was developed. Damage data of several recent earthquakes were collected from sites where the ground motion was recorded. In constructing the relationship, strong SI values without house damage were also used. A functional form that predicts no damage to houses until the SI exceeds a critical level was employed in the weighted least squares using the number of households in each site as the weight. This relationship will be used in damage estimation of city gas networks soon after an earthquake occurs. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
