抄録（英）：
Immediately after 1993 Southwest-off-Hokkaido Earthquake, we visited Okushiri Island, to investigate the human activities after a big disaster by questionnaires. They are making plans and reconstructing their town in Okushiri Island, even holding various problems. Six months after the earthquake, we investigated their intention again, to know their knowledge and opinion for the reconstruction plans, and to estimate the intention of towns and its residents. From the answers to the questionnaire, we could conjecture that they are still disappointed to the disaster, and they gives priority to the prevention of disasters, over their dominant industry such as fishery and tourism.
