In modern societies we heavily rely on electric power, although we may not realize it . In consequence, our societies will suffer functional damage due to power outage when natural disasters like earthquakes happen. We analyzed regional electric power demands in the Tokyo Metropolis, and divided them into four groups by the characteristics of their load curves. Assuming that every load curve is a mixture of four typical curves, the contribution rate of the four types in each area was calculated.
