The excessive bond deterioration along beam reinforcement passing through a reinforced concrete (R/C) interior beam-column joint should be avoided to maintain the ductile behavior in R/C frames during earthquakes. Earthquake response analyses of single-degree-of-freedom systems were executed to study the influences of the pinching hysteresis shape and the increase in a yield deformation due to bond deterioration. Beam bar bond situations within joints were observed using test results. Different limitations of the bond index were proposed based on the analyses and the observation respectively. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
