The paper briefly introduces Static Seismic Design for Reinforced Concrete Buildings(Ultimate Strength Design Guidelines) currently developed as a part of U. S. -Japan PRESSS project. The design for gravity loading is based on traditional allowable stress design procedure. The design for earthquake loading is based on ultimate strength design procedure for serviceability limit state and ultimate limit state. This paper emphasizes the earthquake resistant design. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
