This paper adopts active control system using feedback theory (optimal regulator theory) and realizes it's system for typical high rise building The characteristics aud the efficiency of the control system are studied from the viewpoint of structural design. First, frequency-response functions on accelerations and displacements are derived from the equations of motion on the uniform building, and the characteristics of control system in frequency domain are studied particularly in relation to paramerters for control. To grasp the effects of the paremeters for control on the maxima of seismic responses of this building from an engineering viewpoint, the efficiency of control system are evaluated quantitatively by being converted into equivalent modal damping factors. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
