This paper describes a methodology evaluating seismic fragility of equipment installed in base-isolated structures. In the first step, local fragility is evaluated in terms of ZPA(Zero Period Acceleration), where response and capacity factors peculiar to the equipment in the base-isolated structures are evaluated. In the second step, input parameter for fragility is converted from ZPA to ground motion Parameter(spectral response Sv(T=2sec, h=5%)), where hardening effect of the rubber bearing and non-linearity of the superstructure are taken into account, thus fragility can be evaluated in terms of both ZPA and Sv(T=2sec, h=5%).
