抄録（英）：
This paper describes the test of investing the performance of plant operators and the movement of chairs in a control room during a strong earthquake. A simulated control room was constructed on a shaking table to investigate operator performance. Also a simulated operator console and a working table on which four personal computers were placed were installed in the control room. A total of 30 plant operators had participated in the test. The result shows that little influence of earthquake motion was observed on the operators perfomance. Furthermore, movimg d istance of chairs were confirmed to be very small (within 50cm).
