When structures are subjected to excess seismic loading, plastic deformation is seen. In analysis of these structures, analytical model with hysteretic restoring force-deformation relation is used. In many studies, symmetric hysteresis loop is used. However, some asymmetric characteristics can be seen in actual structures. This paper deals with asymmetric characteristic on earthquake response of structure, especially, secondary system. The maximum response, response reduction rate, permanent deformation and absorbed energy by hysteresis loop are examined. From this study, it is concluded that effect of asymmetric characteristic on response of seondary system is significant. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
