抄録（英）：
Examined are the seismic responses of high-rise reinforced concrete buildings obtained when subjected to bidirectional strong earthquake ground motions. Both bidirectional flexural actions and axial force fluctuations of column, in peculiar of corner columns, are discussed. In addition to the responses evaluated when subjected to a couple of the major and minor principal components of motion, responses of building against diagonal incidence of a single seismic component are examined. Through discussions upon the results, it is concluded that the bidirectional seismic action of earthquake motion is of significance in seismic design of a ductile moment-resisting reinforced concrete building.
