Foudation Design Standard for railway structures in Japan(FDS86) has been under revision in accordance with the adoption of limit state design method to railway superstructures in 1991(Super91). Super91 deals with large-size earthquake and considers very large acceleration of ground. This standard design seismic coefficient is 1.0. The direct introduction of Supper91 to FDS86 produce uneconomical scale changes of foundations. In this paper, the authors demonstrate test results of spread foundation and their analysis considering the plastic deformation. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
