抄録（英）：
Applicability of a two-dimensional effective stress analysis to a superhighrise building on piles is discussed through comparisons of results obtained by two- and three-dimensional analyses. The study shows that the two dimensional analysis can approximately evaluate the response of the superstructure, the excess pore water pressure ratio and the stress in the piles during soil liquefaction.
