In present paper, the transversal responses of tunnels buried in layered half space when subjected to plane seismic waves, have been investigated by means of the combined Finite Element Method (FEM) and the Trial Functions Method (TFM). The wave radiation of the layered half space across the interface from the finite was computed by sovling Lamb's problem, deriving an impedance matrix based on the virtual work, and assembled to the global impedance matrix of the finite region. Satisfactory and stable results were obtained for all the range of frequency in related problems. The illustrative examples including influences of the layer on the stresses in tunnels and the interactions between tunnels and soil and cross interaction between tunnels were reported. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
