The object of this paper is to analyze three dimensional structure-soil-pile interaction problem by substructure procedure. The total system is separated into structure subsystem and pile-soil subsystem. The pile-soil subsystem is estimated as the frequency dependent impedance matrices, and seismic input to the structure is evaluated as the frequency dependent foundation input motions. This method can take the embedded foundation on pile groupes into account. Adopting thin layered element method, layered soil and non-homogeneous soil can also be taken into account.
